Hi my name is Lorraine Markou and I’m a certified, fully qualified Counsellor who specialises in counselling children.Before I became a counsellor I had many years experience working as a children's educator and supervisor. Whilst working with children in these settings was rewarding I often found myself searching for new knowledge required to help them further in navigating their emotions when dealing with transitions, focusing and generally coping with life challenges. This led me to study Applied Social Science and Counselling, exploring the theories and approaches of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy , Gestalt Therapy , Psychotherapy , Play therapy and Narrative Therapy, which I currently now use in my mobile practice. I'm so pleased to have gained this knowledge on my journey in supporting children and look forward to meeting you and your child very soon !
